Social media play a big part of your marketing strategy. So you might already know that having regular posts on your Facebook business page is not as effective any more. Facebook wants you to pay to be seeing by your customers. Like it or not, Facebook is still cheaper than the traditional marketing tools. It doesn't mean you should stop using traditional marketing! You want to have social media as a part of your marketing. You need to advertise if you want to keep up with your competitors and being successful.

You don’t have to hire a social media professional, just follow these simple steps and see your results. Good luck!

Add an Instagram to your Facebook page

  • It is true that Instagram is taking over Facebook - especially younger users. If you don't have Instagram account yet, don't wait!
  • Facebook enables you to add an Instagram account to your Facebook page and run advertising simultaneously on both.
  • Visit Facebook Help Center for an instruction how to add your Instagram account: https://www.facebook.com/business/help/898752960195806

Use high quality photographs

  • If you want to advertise your listing, you have to use high-quality photographs that will attract your audience.
  • Hiring a professional photographer will increase your post engagement and your budget effectiveness.

Choose a good form of advertising

  • You want the most people to see your post and engage with it (click, like, share, comment). Then I recommend to choose an ENGAGEMENT objective.

Target the right people

  • Facebook enables you to specify your target group. For example - you don’t want to waste your budget targeting people from Canada or other states. You want to reach potential home buyers in your specific area.
  • Here is an example how you can define your audience:

Location: Pocatello, Chubbuck, ID (+20miles)
Age: 24-55
Gender: All
Detailed Targeting: Behavior/Interests:
  • Likely to move
  • First time home buyer
  • Buying a house
  • Real Estate
  • Zillow
  • Buying and selling real estate, …

Schedule your advertising

  • Run your advertising for more than one day. The end of the week is the best, always include weekend.
  • Schedule: You can schedule your ad to get even better results. To schedule your ad, you have to select a life time budget and the end of your campaign.
  • The best time to post on Facebook can varry. You can know it from your own analytics or you can use other available statistics, for example: http://coschedule.com/blog/best-times-to-post-on-social-media/. Just play with it to figure out the best timing for your posts.
